Martin Walker, erstwhile comedy editor of ScotsGay and Broadway Baby, was reviewed by Fringepig in 2014. We gave him two stars and commented to the effect that his writing was self-referential, cliqueish and lazy. “Can I write for you then?” he asked. “Of course!” we squealed, in barely-contained delight. “Although you do realise you’re way overqualified?”
Today Martin, or ‘lovely Martin’ as the Fringe cocktail set call him, is our professional schmoozer – or Edinburgh Editor as he prefers to be known. He also sells our advertising as he is good at getting money out of people. He is less good at getting money out of elephants (ie Mr Kipper).
